How to Extend Your Rental

  1. 1.Open your active booking in the ItWhip app or website
  2. 2.Tap "Request Extension" and select your new return date and time
  3. 3.The host will review and approve your extension request
  4. 4.Once approved, your booking and payment will be updated automatically
  5. 5.You'll receive a confirmation email with the updated booking details

Extension Requirements

  • Request the extension before your current return time
  • The vehicle must be available for the extended period
  • Your payment method must be valid for additional charges
  • Host approval is required for all extensions
  • Insurance coverage will be extended automatically

Extension Pricing

Extension pricing is based on the same daily rate as your original booking, with some adjustments:

  • Same daily rate as your original booking applies
  • Insurance and protection coverage extends automatically
  • Multi-day extension discounts may apply for weekly or monthly rates

Late Returns Warning

Returning a vehicle late without an approved extension may result in late fees of up to 1.5x the daily rate per hour, plus potential impacts to your renter rating. Always request an extension in advance to avoid these charges.
